Bread Ahead is coming to the Clifton News site
Bread Ahead is planning to launch in Chiswick this Friday (24 July). Their premises will be at 316 Chiswick High Road which used to be the home of Clifton News and they will also be running a bakery school.
The bakery chain started life in Borough Market in 2013 founded by former chef Matthew Jones.
Matthew spent 15 years working alongside some of the best chefs in the UK during the nineties and went into the bakery business in 2000.
The Bakery School opened in February 2014 and is designed to show just how easy baking good bread can be. Since then they have opened further bakeries and schools in Pavilion Road, Chelsea, Wembley and a café bakery in Beak Street, Soho.
The Bread Ahead Baking School holds workshops including Doughnuts, Great British Baking, Nordic and Gluten-free to name a few. Led by bakery school tutors, they aim to offer an insight into proper artisan baking. Gift vouchers are available to buy for the
The bakery will be open Monday – Saturday 7am - 6pm and Sunday 8am - 6pm.
The decision to open in Chiswick came with many of now working from home which Bread Ahead means that people are reconnecting with local high streets and they felt that made it time to expand into residential neighbourhoods. Chiswick was chosen as the first opening in this new strategy for the company.
