Petition to stop 50 year old Chiswick garage from becoming offices
Chiswick mechanic Kev Saradjian of Chiswick Auto Service is facing the closure of his business after fourteen years of fixing cars for thousands of locals.
The new owner of the premises has applied to Hounslow Council to change its use from motor repair to offices.
This property has been a garage for nearly fifty years since the 1960s, specialising in Audi/VW cars.
Kev Saradjian said, “Some of my neighbours and customers have suggested that I start a petition to keep my garage going. I would love to continue working in Chiswick, and as I’m not getting any younger, I am unlikely to find work elsewhere.
“Most of my customers have been with me for about ten years and the ones I have spoken to are very unhappy with this proposed change of use as they rely on me to look after their cars.”
Chiswick resident Annie Garfoot, “I first heard about Kev from a neighbour who also has a Golf. He’s a little local gem and it would be a great shame if he were to be put out of business.”
