Chiswick Wanderers: Childhood Friends Reunited on the Pitch After 16 Years

And thank local sponsors Andrew Nunn and Snappy Snaps

A local group of friends who first played football together 16 years ago have officially returned to the pitch. After a temporary pause to pursue their education, the squad has reunited to join the Middlesex County Football League. Thanks to the generous support of local businesses Andrew Nunn & Associates and Snappy Snaps, the team is fully kitted out and ready for action.

"We started as Chiswick Youth back in 2010, just a group of kids playing in Southfield Park on Saturday mornings," the team shared. "That initial run lasted eight years until school commitments took over in 2018. After finishing school and heading off to different universities across the country, we are now all back in London. We've brought the team back together with the exact same players who started at Southfield Park in 2010. Chiswick Youth has officially grown up into the Chiswick Wanderers."

The adult 11-a-side club will compete on Saturdays in the Jeff Nardin Division. They will play their home matches at Gunnersbury Park, with their highly anticipated inaugural game scheduled for Saturday 12 September.

"We want to deeply thank our shirt sponsors, Andrew Nunn & Associates and Snappy Snaps Chiswick, as well as the players and supporters who have helped us get this far," the team added.

Sponsor Andrew Nunn expressed his pride in the reunion: "We are absolutely delighted to help this grassroots Chiswick team get up and running. We wish them the very best of luck in their inaugural season."
