Team stayed at Moran Hotel for Twickenham clash
It must be hard to go incognito when you're a strapping 6ft 4" rugby player, and even harder to go under the radar if there are a whole team of your colleagues with you.
That's probably why the Wales Rugby Team couldn’t help but be spotted in West London at the weekend, residing at the stylish Chiswick Moran Hotel. They stayed there while preparing for a warm up game against England last Saturday, ahead the Rugby World Cup 2011. The team included George North, Ryan Jones, Mike Phillips, Shane Williams & Toby Faletau.
The squad was apparently also spotted being put through their paces by their Chiswick-based coach, Shaun Edwards, on Turnham Green.
The Welsh narrowly lost to England at Twickenham by 23-19, outscoring the hosts by 3 tries to 2 but falling behind due to points from the boot of Jonny Wilkinson.
