Using the Rhythm Method to Sell Coffee

New 'vinyl' cafe opens on Arlington Park Corner

Chiswick's first vinyl cafe has opened up next to Turnham Green in Chiswick on the site of the former Arlington Pharmacy. Rhythm and Brews is located on Arlington Park Corner at the end of Wellesley Road.

Using the Rhythm Method to Sell Coffee

It is owned by Ann Khoshaba who ran the Cinnamon Cafe in Pitshanger Lane, Ealing for six years. She’s a fashion designer by training and when she saw this site was empty and saw the potential and took it on.

It has been stripped back to the bare walls and all the tables are made from reclaimed wood, there are benches which started life as railway sleepers. The coffee is top ranking Union Coffee and the English Breakfast Teas won a great taste award and as well as the usual selection of panini and croissants they also sell homemade cakes.

The music is all from old vinyl records played on an old fashioned record player and you can take your own in if you want.

Vinyl cafes are the newest craze to hit London in popular spots such as Camden, and one even has a 'Bring Your Parent's Old Records' night.

The cafe sells second hand vinyl records, along with a selection of coffee, drinks and snacks.

Rhythm & Brews, (not be confused with the new Brew restaurant) has already been visited by Anthony McPartlin (one half of Ant and Dec) and members of the Wasps rugby team.

Will this new hip cafe prove to be a Long Player for Chiswick?
