Photographs show the 'slum like' state of shops around Empire House

These photographs, taken this week , show the state of the retail premises left empty and slum-like following abandonment of the plans to develop the Chiswick Empire tower block.

With retail shops and restaurants in Chiswick suffering from the downturn in public sentiment, surely something positive can be done with this parade of shops opposite Turnham Green, writes Mike Abbott.

What do readers think could be done about this area?

We have asked Lendlease a number of times for information but have not heard back
