Songs from West End Musicals promises a star-studded night of showtunes in Grove Park, bringing favourites from across the decades

Once again, the concert will feature seven young West End performers, a 40-strong children’s choir from the Unicorn School in Kew and a live band, all hosted by West End director and presenter Mike Reed.

The event is taking place at St Paul’s Church, Grove Park, on Sunday 16 November at 7pm.

Organisers say the programme will span the breadth of musical theatre, from long-running classics such as Les Misérables, Evita and Guys and Dolls to contemporary hits including Hamilton and Wicked, family favourites like The Lion King, Matilda and Frozen, and the glamour of shows such as Chicago and Cabaret. The evening will also include a local twist: residents of the W4 postcode have been voting in an online poll to pick “Chiswick’s favourite musical song,” and the winning number will be performed live.

Mike Reed, whose West End credits include Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and the current Bat Out of Hell, will present the night and share the stage with his fellow performers.

St Paul’s Church offers a compact, atmospheric venue for the concert and is accessible for local audiences. The event’s organisers encourage early booking to avoid disappointment; tickets are available via songsfromthewestend.eventbrite.co.uk.
