Chiswick Rugby Club will once again light up the riverside this autumn as its Community Fireworks event returns to Dukes Meadows on Saturday 7 November, with organisers expecting another sell-out night.

The annual display, now firmly established as one of the area’s most popular family events at this time of year, is held in partnership with Maggie’s, the cancer support charity based at Charing Cross Hospital.

The evening runs from 5.30pm to 11pm at the club’s ground on Dan Mason Drive, with a programme designed to appeal to all ages. Gates open at 5.30pm, followed by the traditional bonfire lighting at 6.30pm. The fireworks display begins at 7.30pm, after which live music continues into the evening.

Last year’s event sold out well in advance, and organisers are urging residents to book early. No physical tickets are issued; names are checked at the gate on arrival. Ticket prices include a donation to Maggie’s — £2 per person or £3 per family — supporting the charity’s work with people affected by cancer.

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and psychological support to anyone living with cancer, as well as their families and friends. Its centres, including the one at Charing Cross Hospital, offer a calm, welcoming space where visitors can speak to cancer support specialists, psychologists and benefits advisors, or simply take time to gather themselves during treatment.

The club encourages residents to come early to enjoy the build-up before the display.

Tickets cost £12 for adults, £8 for children, and £30 for families (parents and siblings). A second family option — £50 for two adults and two children — is also available. All are welcome, whether regular visitors to the club or first-time attendees.

Bookings can be made online via the club’s website.
