With local elections taking place on Thursday 7 May residents in Grove Park will have an early opportunity to hear directly from the candidates hoping to represent them on Hounslow Council.

The Grove Park Group (GPG) is hosting a community hustings on Thursday 30 April, giving voters the chance to listen to candidates outline what they intend to do if elected and to put their own questions to them. The event will be held at St Paul’s Church, Grove Park, and will be moderated by the GPG in a strictly non‑political and impartial manner.

Organisers describe the hustings as an important moment for residents to make their voices heard on the issues that matter most. The councillors elected in May will help shape how Hounslow is run for the next four years, influencing decisions on everything from tree planting, pavements and e‑bikes to housing, education and social care.

Residents are also being reminded to check their voting arrangements. Eligible voters should already have received a poll card from Hounslow Council. The deadline to register to vote is midnight on 20 April, and the deadline to apply for or amend a postal vote is 5pm on 21 April.

The GPG says it hopes for a strong turnout at the hustings, encouraging residents to take part in local democracy and ensure their concerns are heard.
