Local church invites Chiswick community to their seasonal charity event
Following the great success of last October’s community harvest event, Gunnersbury Baptist Church is running a new and improved event again this year.
High-profile charities such as Tearfund, Compassion UK, Tradecraft and Tearcraft will be present at the event in addition to a wide selection of delicious and interesting food with a global fair-trade and organic theme as well as a free BBQ with meat supplied by top quality local butchers Macken Bros and a vegetarian option supplied by the Chiswick branch of As nature intended.
Fair trade gifts and food will be on sale from around the world as well as emotive presentations from the charities that focus on 3rd world aid and child sponsorship.
A talk will be given by a local church representative in conjunction with the charitable theme and fair-trade charities.
For the children, there will be craft, face painting and the several other surprises including a ‘have a go’ area of different musical instruments from around the world.
This is a great opportunity to come, meet new people and friends and support some terrific charities, for your children to enjoy some fantastic entertainments and to eat some top quality fair trade and organic foods from around the world.
This is completely free to attend and eat, however all donations made will be given to the charities represented.
