The carols will be performed in front of the shops in the new Piazza
November 6, 2025
The Grove Park Group residents’ association will once again bring festive cheer to Chiswick with its annual Christmas Carols in the Piazza event.
It is taking place on Thursday 11 December from 6.00 to 8.00pm outside the shops on Grove Park Road. The event promises a joyful evening of music, warm refreshments, and community spirit, with appearances expected from Mayor of Hounslow Amy Croft, MP Andy Slaughter, and local councillors.
Now an established tradition in the Grove Park calendar, the carol evening invites residents of all ages to sing along to seasonal favourites under twinkling lights. Free mulled wine, hot chocolate, and mince pies will be served, and children are especially encouraged to join in the singing. The event is open to all, whether you're a confident vocalist or simply a festive listener.
The Grove Park Group (GPG), founded in 1970, has long been a cornerstone of local civic life. It represents residents in the area bounded by the A4, A316, the Thames, and the District Line, and is known for its apolitical stance, active engagement with local planning and transport issues, and commitment to preserving the character of the neighbourhood. In recent years, the group has revitalised its membership and profile, hosting talks on local history, coordinating surveys on traffic and safety, and maintaining public spaces like the horse trough planter near Chiswick Station.
The Christmas carols event reflects GPG’s mission to foster community connections and celebrate shared traditions. Past gatherings have drawn families, neighbours, and local leaders together in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The organisers say, “We welcome singers of all abilities and particularly encourage children to come along and join in.
“Let’s make this Christmas season an especially merry one, together.”
