A collective of independent business owners in Chiswick are joining forces to host Christmas on the Corner, a festive artisan market designed to showcase the area’s creative spirit and support local trade.
The two-day event will run 27–28 November from 8am to 5pm at Bedford Corner, opposite St Michael’s and All Angels Church. Visitors can expect a vibrant pop-up market filled with unique gifts, handmade goods, and seasonal treats.
For the past five years, residents Margie Frew and Solveig Nepstad have welcomed shoppers into their home for a small Christmas market. This year, they’ve expanded the tradition by partnering with Avanti Restaurant, which will host the stalls in its outdoor covered seating area. The move aims to make the market more accessible while raising awareness of Chiswick’s independent businesses.
Shops along Bedford Corner will be offering early Christmas discounts on home décor, hair products, salon services, pet supplies, and restaurant specials. Market stalls will feature:
The initiative is supported by local businesses including Greige Lifestyle, Avanti Restaurant, Hair at Number Three, The Post Room, Young Veterinary Partnership, and Mari Nails. Featured artisans range from Quirky Pixie Decorand Solveig Designs to Bahari Blu Jewellery, Organic Pet Bakery, and Miss Patina clothing.
Organisers say the market is more than just shopping — it’s a celebration of Chiswick’s independent and creative side. “Supporting small business is key to our community,” said co-host Margie Frew. “This is the perfect kick-off to the festive season.”
