Turnham Green will come alive with colour, music and family fun on Saturday 4 July, as Christ Church W4, supported by LB Hounslow, hosts its popular Community Summer Fair.
Running from 11am to 3pm, the fair has become a highlight of the local calendar, drawing families, neighbours and visitors together for a relaxed day in one of Chiswick’s most cherished green spaces.
The day begins with family races from 11.30am to 12.30pm, bringing a playful competitive spirit to the Green as children – and often their parents – take part in classic sports-day favourites.
From midday, the ever-popular BBQ will be serving lunch, joined by a cake and tea stall, Pimms and beer bar, and a range of refreshments to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
A lively mix of local craft and charity stalls will line the Green, offering handmade goods, gifts and community information. Younger visitors can get stuck into the craft activity table, enjoy a turn on the bouncy castle, or explore a variety of games and sports set up across the site. Live music will add to the atmosphere, creating a relaxed backdrop for families settling in for a summer afternoon outdoors.
The fair is free to attend, and organisers emphasise that everyone is welcome. With its blend of activities, food, stalls and community spirit, the event promises to be a joyful celebration of local life at the height of summer.
Christ Church W4 said they “look forward to welcoming you there” — and with so much on offer, Turnham Green is set to be the place to be on the first weekend of July.
