Painting At The Pier

Get creative with workshops led by artist Suzie Fiddler

Get creative at the Painting at the Pier workshops led by artist, Suzie Fiddler on Sunday October 11th, organised by the Chiswick Pier Trust.

From 10.30 am -12 noon there will be a family workshop for all ages focussing on individual prints and a collaborative collage.

In the afternoon, from 1-3pm there will be a watercolour workshop aimed at adults and older children. Suzie will give a demonstration on mixing colours and making a wash. Participants will be invited to sketch by the river followed by painting their masterpieces in the Pier House. This workshop is suitable for 10 years and over and welcomes all abilities.

The workshops will take place in all weathers, so if it rains, we will seek inspiration from our new aquarium rather than outside. Spaces are limited to the first 30 at each workshop.

Price: £2 for all participating adults (adults supervising children and not taking part can attend free of charge), under 18s 50p. Children under 14 must be accompanied by adults at both events.

To help you find your muse we shall also be selling delicious handmade cupcakes decorated with a river theme and soft drinks in the Pier House. Even if you don't want to paint yourself, do come and take a look at award winning artist Jason Bowyer in action, as he and some artist friends will be setting up their easels from 1-3pm by the Pier to support the event and give inspiration to those taking part in the workshops.

Chiswick Pier and Chiswick Pier House are at the end of Corney Road and Edensor Road, Chiswick, W4 2UG.
