The series of talks hosted by the Chiswick Pier Trust (CPT) continues with healthy rivers campaigner Helen Charlton.
She will be telling of her incredible journey, following the River Thames from source to sea on foot and by paddle in 2018, fundraising for the charity The Ahoy Centre, and in 2022 continuing along the Thames Estuary to the North Sea.
The talk takes place on Tuesday 28 January at Chiswick Pier House on Corney Reach Way (W4 2UG) at 7pm.
It begins a season of events over the winter and spring.

Another date for your diary is Mothering Sunday Afternoon Tea on the Thames on 30 March. Treat the family to a full afternoon tea served at the table whilst cruising upstream. There will be a commentary pointing out the interesting sights as you sail along the river to Teddington Lock.
The Oxford and Cambridge boat race is on Sunday 13 April, starting with the women's race at 13:20 and finishing with the men's at 14:21. Chiswick Pier is a prime vantage spot from which to watch the race with the added bonus of a choice of hot food, Fullers bar and refreshments all on sale.
These events are organised by the Chiswick Pier Trust which works to engage people with the River Thames. It provides access to the Thames and supports major river events, as well as organising events of its own.
