The second Chiswick Book Festival will take place from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th September 2010.

From 12 Noon onwards The Chiswick Connection – Writers & Readers - Top local authors read from their latest works and discuss them with Chiswick book club members.

Zaiba Malik - We are a Muslim, please
BBC Radio 4’s Book of the Week in August. An account of growing up in Bradford in the 1970s and 1980s to devout Pakistani parents.

Lucy Jago - Montacute House
Witchcraft, politics and religious ambition combine in this “gripping and wonderfully realised” novel, set in the Somerset of the 1590s.

Fran Warde - The French Kitchen, The French Market, The Ginger Pig Cookery Book (Spring 2011) Acclaimed food writer Fran Warde

Nic Ridley - Godfrey’s Ghost: From father to son.
Nic Ridley’s father was Arnold Ridley, celebrated as a young man as author of “The Ghost Train”, and in his old age and in the 25 years since his death as Private Godfrey in “Dad’s Army”.

Nigel Ostrer - The Ostrers and Gaumont British:
Nigel’s uncle, Isidore Ostrer, created and ran the Gaumont British Picture Corporation, the largest movie company in the UK in the 1930s, forerunner of Rank and Odeon. It had a chain of cinemas; a studio complex in Lime Grove; directors like Hitchcock; and stars like James Mason, Margaret Lockwood, Charles Laughton, John Mills and Noel Coward.
