Learning Hub & Yard at Chiswick House to Launch

Chiswick House & Gardens will open its new Learning Hub & Yard this month with a programme of free creative and wellbeing events, inviting local residents to explore the newly created community spaces and try out a range of new classes.
The launch begins with a series of free taster sessions on 15 and 16 September, offering visitors the chance to discover new hobbies or find a moment of calm. The sessions include a gong bath with W4 Gong Baths, a sculpture class led by Gillian Brett, a sashiko stitching workshop with B_Boheme, and a children’s yoga session with Little Rays Yoga. All events take place in the Learning Hub & Yard, with limited spaces and advance booking strongly recommended.
The celebrations continue on Sunday 20 September with a major free Open Day, marking the official opening of the Learning Hub & Yard. Families and visitors will be able to explore the new spaces, take part in drop-in workshops including block printing, yoga, sashiko stitching, posy-making and sound healing, and meet the artists who work on site through the Artists’ Open Studios. The Open Day also coincides with the Chiswick House Dog Show, held at the Cricket Pavilion, adding to the lively atmosphere across the grounds. Visitors will be able to enjoy free entry to Chiswick House itself — the Neo-Palladian landmark designed by William Kent and the Earl of Burlington — with its ornate interiors and historic art collection. Prior booking is advised for house entry.
The new Learning Hub & Yard will host a wide range of creative, educational and wellbeing activities throughout the year, providing spaces for schools, community groups and visitors to connect, learn and explore.
