Cavendish Primary School is gearing up for a lively afternoon of football, food and family entertainment as it hosts the Cavendish World Cup on Saturday 6 June, bringing together children, parents and neighbours for a celebration of community spirit.
Running from 12pm to 4pm at Chiswick School, the event centres on a five-a-side football tournament supported by Blue Moon Academy. All team places have now sold out, but organisers are encouraging families from across the area to come along and enjoy a packed programme of activities.
Visitors can expect a bouncy castle, world food stalls, arts and crafts, face painting, garden games, live music, a World Cup sweepstake, and a keepy-uppy competition. The event is open to all children and families, with grandparents, neighbours and friends warmly invited to join the festivities.
Football fans will also have the chance to win Brentford FC tickets in a fundraising raffle, with proceeds supporting the work of the school community.
This year’s event is being held at Chiswick School, a venue that reflects the strong links between the two school communities.
The Cavendish World Cup is organised by the Friends of Cavendish (PTA), who hope the day will bring people together through sport.
