Man taken to hospital after collision
A male cyclist was injured in a collision at Fisher’s Lane just off Chiswick High Road today ( Jan 9th).
The incident happened around 11 am. A member of the public, Fintan Coyle, administered first aid to the cyclist while the emergency services were called. London Ambulance and police attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital.
Mr. Coyle provided immediate First Aid and kept the man’s neck immobilised to keep him was stable and comfortable until the ambulance arrived.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance said they were called to the scene after a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist. A man in his thirties was taken to Charing Cross Hospital, where his condition was not believed to be serious.
A local cyclist contacted us to say he was not surprised there was an accident at that junction which is extremely dangerous to cyclists due to the confluence of buses, cars and pedestrians.
He said he always dismounts and walks up Dolman Road to get to the High Road to avoid the danger.
