Update On Local Businesses During Covid-19 Outbreak
Services still being offered by local independents in the Chiswick area
Our local shops and small businesses, have been making huge efforts to adapt given the fast-changing situation with Covid-19 with some offering online or delivery services instead. As we know, under the stringent rules, residents have to stay at home and only shop when absolutely necessary for essential items such as food and medicines.
Some local businesses will still be offering online/delivery services and we will keep updating that list as they inform us of their situation. Others which are classified as 'essential' will remain open practicising social distancing and other safe shopping regulations.
Shops which are allowed to remain open incude food retailers, pharmacies, hardware stores, corner shops, petrol stations, shops in hospital, post offices, banks, newsagents, laundrettes and pet shops. Those deemed non-essential and now shut include shops selling clothing, books and electricals, as well as hairdressers, bed and breakfasts, and markets, whether they are indoors or outdoors.
Councillor Joanna Biddolph and her colleagues on the Chiswick Shops Task Force have spoken to many of the local independent shops who said they badly need residents to support them through this crisis. Many shops have closed while some traders have made special arrangements to try to operate. The list is updated as we receive the information but please check with the shops first.

Grove Park Deli – delicatessen
Grove Park Deli are offering a delivery service between 2-3pm Monday to Sunday for meals that are ready to be heated or put directly into the freezer. Staple favourites will be on the menu all week plus plenty of Daily Specials to choose from. As with all of the Deli menus there will be a variety of choices to include all tastes and dietary requirements.
