Major Roadworks to Take Place on South Parade

Ealing Council is to undertake carriageway improvement work on South Parade which is expected to last for up to six weeks.
For most of the project, which is due to commence shortly, the road will remain open but there is a four-day closure required for resurfacing which is currently expected to happen from 24 October during the half term holidays.
There will be no through traffic between 8am and 5pm on these four days and the 94 bus will be diverted. All parking on this section of the road will be suspended while the work is taking place.
The westbound restrictions on the A4, which are believed to have caused the extra congestion seen on South Parade in recent weeks is scheduled to be completed by this time. If there is any delay in the project, the road resurfacing and the closure will take place in either November or December.
There will be ongoing work adjusting kerbs, channels, gullies, and some footway areas on South Parade. Footway widening is taking place near the junction with Rusthall Avenue to address narrow footway by a mature tree.
It is being carried out on behalf of the council by Murrill Construction. The contractor will be working from 8am to 4pm from Monday to Saturday at intermittent locations.
Emergency access will not be affected at any time.
Ealing Council did not respond to a question asking whether the Fishers Lane underpass restrictions would be removed when the resurfacing work is taking place.
