Hounslow Council planners are to give permission for the redevelopment of the site of a car dealership on Power Road into a building with industrial and office space.
Described by the applicant as a speculative development (P/2024/2614), the proposals for number 110 are being approved under delegated powers despite one objection over loss of light and the outlook to the office building to the east. This means it will not be considered by councillors at a borough planning meeting.
The designs draw up by UMC Architects on behalf of High Sense Securities Ltd will be for buildings which are the same height as the existing structures which are to be demolished. The proposed scheme consists of a single building footprint formed of a single storey warehouse space with an ancillary mezzanine office. The wider site will be allocated to car parking, cycle parking, and a service yard space including a small storage unit. The total development amount consists of 26,833ft² GIA.
Class B2 and B8 usage have been applied for which would allow the site to be used for either light manufacturing or warehousing and storage.

The previous use of the site was as a car dealership and an MOT and vehicle repair centres with a Lotus dealership one of the earlier occupants.
