An application (PAC/2025/0379) has been submitted to convert the Stamford Brook Medical Centre into flats.

Prior approval is being sought for a change of use from Class E to Class C3 by a company called Stamford Brook Mews Ltd which was incorporated last October.

The designs include 7 two-bedroom flats, 6 one-bedroom flats, 1 three-bedroom flat plus a studio which will be for market sale.

Originally constructed as a nursing home in the 1980s, the building was subsequently converted into offices before being returned to medical use. It is located in the Stamford Brook Conservation Area.

The development would be 'car-free' other than the provision of two disabled parking spaces.

If approval is given, conversion work is expected to start in April and be completed in July.

The facility located at 14-16 Stamford Brook Avenue is currently being used as a temporary base for GP surgeries from Chiswick Health Centre which has been closed since April 2023.

The new Chiswick Health Centre on Fishers Lane is expected to open in the next few months at which point permission is being sought to convert the building into 15 self-contained residential units spread over three floors.

Comments on the application can be made by searching for reference: PAC/2025/0379 on the planning section of the Hounslow Council web site.
