Fifty new flats could be built at Mulliner House on Flanders Road

An application has been made to convert Mulliner House from offices into flats under permitted development rules.
The block which hosts companies such as Chugai Pharma Europe Limited and the Shepherds Bush Housing Association is on Flanders Road behind Turnham Green tube station.
The proposed scheme would be for 50 units, 37 of which would be studios, 11 one bedroom and 2 two bedroom. As the development would be under permitted development rules, there would be no requirement to provide housing classed as affordable.
The plans envisage the removal of the lower ground floor car park and the loss of 45 parking spaces but there will be two disabled bays provided on site.
The planning application submitted to Hounslow Council states that work on the scheme would start in September 2022 with completion a year later.
The application has been made jointly by two companies, Maizelands Ltd and Arringford Ltd, which appear to share directors.
Mulliner House was originally part of the site of the Bedford Park Works, which was run by H. J. Mulliner & Co., a coachbuilder formed in 1897, which later became part of the Rolls Royce.
The planning reference is PAC/2021/3121 and you can comment on the application and find out more details by using this reference in a search on the Hounslow Council planning page.
