WILLIAM HOGARTH SCHOOL GETS PERMANENT HEADTEACHER
Announcing the appointment Andy Rooney, Chair of Governors at The William Hogarth School, said, “The governing body voted unanimously to appoint Cathy Driscoll as the Permanent Headteacher for The William Hogarth School. Cathy’s work over the past few months has helped to settle the new school following the past problems and she has a clear vision of the way forward for the school. This appointment will give the school the stability during its growth over the next 4 years and provide the high standards of teaching that local children deserve. I am sure that the local community will continue to support the school and will help it to develop into a strong community school.” The William Hogarth School occupies the site of the former Hogarth School, which was closed after several months in special measures. The school currently takes pupils in reception classes and years one and two, and will increase in size by one year group each September until it is a full primary school. Since
the new school was opened in October 2001 there
have been increasing numbers of enquiries from
local parents about new places. The school
currently has 65 pupils.
