New Chiswick Health Centre Step Closer to Completion

A ceremony was held this week to mark the ‘topping out’ of the new Chiswick Health Centre.
This is a tradition in the construction industry when the structure of the building is complete. The bell tower or campanile on the eastern side of the project is now in place marking the highest point of the new facility.
Over 30 people were invited to the event including representatives from NHS Property Services (NHSPS), Hounslow Council, North West London Integrated Care Board, the local Primary Care Network, key consultants and the three GP practices who will be operating out of the centre once it opens.
At the event, Dr Chloe Hillman, GP Partner at Chiswick Health Practice, “Working in partnership with our local residents I think we are in an excellent position to help establish new services and groups that can be delivered from the new community spaces and facilities that will be integrated into this build. I can’t wait to see how these plans progress over the next year.”
Once operational, Chiswick Health Centre will continue to host the three GP practices – West4GPs, Chiswick Family Practice, and Chiswick Health Practice. It will also be the base for Chiswick PCN and community staff that will deliver a range of primary care services.
Chiswick Health Centre will have landscaped courtyards, a fifth-floor garden terrace, and a public community green space.
Adrian Powell, Director of Investment & Development Management at NHSPS said, “Chiswick Health Centre is a major project that has brought together many stakeholders, and to be here today celebrating this milestone is a massive collaborative achievement. I am delighted that we’re progressing well with the build, and I’m look forward to seeing the finished health centre welcome patients early next year.”

Cllr Samia Chaudhary, Hounslow Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Transformation and Cllr Sue Sampson, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness added, “We were delighted to attend the topping out ceremony of the new Chiswick Health Centre. This redevelopment project marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing essential services and support to our NHS key workers while addressing the pressing need for affordable housing in our area. This endeavour is a testament to the power of collaboration. The partnership between the London Borough of Hounslow and the National Health Service Property Services (NHSPS) exemplifies what can be achieved when entities come together with a shared vision and purpose.”

The originally scheduled completion date for the completion of the Health Centre was autumn of this year. We contacted Willmott Dixon to ask if the project remained on schedule but have yet to receive a reply.
