Chiswick is to once again have a police station accessible to the general public.
On 13 August the front counter at the station on the High Road is to reopen for around two months while Hounslow Police Station is being refurbished.
The West Area Basic Command Unit (BCU) will be moving some functions to W4 while the Hounslow facilities are modernised. This will include more flexible use of floor space to accommodate a growing workforce and the ability to maintain 24/7 front counter public access at the Hounslow site. The Met says the modernisation of this building will reduce running costs.
The front counter at Hounslow Police Station will close at midday on Thursday, 13 August.
Chiswick Police Station is located at 205-207 Chiswick High Road, W4 2DU.
Due to Covid-19, the police continue to ask people to follow the stay at home measures set out by the government, and to use online services where possible. This includes reporting crimes online service rather than visiting a front counter.
In an emergency they should continue to call 101 or 999 if it is urgent.
