A Chiswick teenager was forced to give up his mobile phone by a knife wielding robber by a A4 subway this week.

The incident took place at 3.45pm on Monday 6th December near the subway close to the entrance of Chiswick House Grounds on Ellesmere Road (A4).

The victim was walking through the grounds when he noticed two youths cycling through the park. They did not approach him at this point but later when he was entering the subway from the South side of the A4 he was approached by the pair. He was threatened and whilst one held a knife in his direction and demanded cash the other rifled through his pockets and stole a mobile phone and a small amount of cash.

They then made their victim lie face down and made off. The victim was not injured in the attack.

The first suspect, the one carrying the knife, is a black youth aged about 16, 6ft tall and was wearing a black zipped Nike hooded jacket with a white scarf which he used to hide his face. The second suspect is white, 5ft 2', aged around 14 and wearing a blue hooded tracksuit top with blue bottoms.

Luckily, the phone stolen, a Nokia 3310, was an older model which would not have a significant resale value.
