Thieves Target Cars In Chiswick

Police warn public of increased thefts from vehicles

Police in Chiswick have warned people to be vigilant, following a spate of thefts from cars.

They have asked the public to report any suspicious behaviour, such as youths on bicycles looking into vehicles.

Patrols of uniformed and plain-clothes police have been increased to try to catch the culprits.

A police spokesman warned people to remember to remove items such as satnavs and mobile phones from cars and to remember to lock vehicles and make them secure.

The spokesman said the public could call 999 for emergencies but otherwise call 101.
