Chiswick Police have issued a warning about a young slim female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with long red hair and a freckly face, who has been begging at residents doors in the area.

"She is capable of telling plausible stories and crying in order to win sympathy and get money.

"Her latest storyline involves having locked her children inside the house and needing money for a locksmith to free them."

Police urge residents not to hand over any money and report such incidents to them using telephone number 0300 123 1212 or a member of your local Safer Neighbourhood Team.
