Cannabis and Cash Seized In Harvard Road Drugs Raid

Man arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply

Officers from Turnham Green Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) recovered a significant quantity of drugs and cash from an address in Harvard Road on Tuesday 3rd March.

The officers executed a search warrant at the residential address following a number of concerns raised about activity there.

The local officers worked together with colleagues from Feltham Police Station and from the dog support unit to ensure the search was carried out effectively and with minimum disruption to local residents.

Around 2kg of cannabis and over £5,000 cash were seized in the raid.

A 25 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of the drugs with intent to supply. He has been given conditional bail whilst the Crown Prosecution Service decide on possible charges.

Sergeant Ben Clark from Turnham Green SNT told ChiswickW4.com, "This search warrant shows that we can and will act on information that we receive. Drug misuse has been shown to have an impact on local communities and we will robustly deal with people who choose to deal in drugs.

"I would like to thank those who had the courage to tell us about this activity.Cannabis has recently been reclassified to a Class B Controlled Drug, with the maximum sentence for supply offences being 14 years imprisonment. Recent legislation also allows us to seize the assets of those concerned in criminal activities, and we will certainly be looking to do that in this case."

Local residents who do have information on crime in the area can call the Turnham Green SNT on 020 8247 6415 or, alternatively, London Crimestoppers can be called on 0800 555 111.

You don't have to leave your name and you could receive a cash reward.
