Store Wars Comes to Chiswick

KPMG staff to take over Barnado's shop for a day

A team of KPMG employees have volunteered to organise and run a Barnardo’s Store War in Chiswick on 21st September 2011.

Store Wars is a challenge in which teams from all KPMG offices take over a Barnardo’s store for a day and compete to increase sales by as much as possible.

Joe Choukair, who is part of the team who will be running the Chiswick store told us, "We are looking to raise awareness of the event and increase the footfall on the day, we are also looking for stock donations before the day. "

Out of every £1 they raise, 95p goes directly to helping children, young people and their families. For example, £15 could pay for a "survival kit" of basic essentials such as shampoo, toothpaste and soap for an abused girl who has fled her home with nothing. £45 could pay for three, one-to-one homework support sessions for a young carer and £84 pays for training equipment for three young people living in poverty to attend a vocational course.
