SENIOR PLAY WORKER 8 HOURS PER WEEK £9.95 ph
Brentford Toy Library is a much loved registered children's charity offering play opportunities to children under 5. We offer 2 free stay and play sessions per week; offer free creative activities and encourage positive carer/child interaction.
We are looking to employ a play worker for 8 hours a week on a sessional basis. The play worker will be in charge of running 2 play sessions at St. Paul’s Parish Centre. There will also be some other related activities such as ‘cashing up’ and banking on a weekly basis.
Required for Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.30am – 12.30pm (plus 2 additional hours).
Temporary for one year with the view to extend
All candidates will be required to have a CRB police check and complete child protection training. Brentford Toy Library is dedicated to safeguarding children. Candidates will be encouraged to complete a paediatric first aid course and a level 2 food hygiene certificate.
Applications are welcomed from those with a play worker or childcare related qualification. Experience of working with children and members of the public is essential. Good literacy and numeracy skills are also required. Brentford Toy Library is dedicated to promoting Equal Opportunities.
