A winning crew at the recent Bedford Regatta
May 22, 2025
The girls and boys crews from Brentford Boat Club will be heading up to Nottingham this weekend in confident mood after a string of successes.
They are set to race in the prestigious National Schools Championship against top independent schools from across the UK.
Fresh from their Easter training camp in Belgium, the club is seeing excellent results with medals and tankards from the Scullery Regatta at Dorney and the Bedford Regatta with Golds for J14’s & J16’s, Silver for J15s, Bronzes for J14. The WJ17 made an impressive entry at the club’s first foray in the Wallingford Regatta.
Brentford Boat Club’s progress at Bedford was noticed for demonstrating its sharpened focus and renewed determination and being a squad ‘capable of more and hungry to prove it’.
Head Coach Nick Wilde commented, ‘After the Athletes hard work at the Easter Training camp this is great start to the season and we can’t wait for them to bring back more Gold to Brentford this weekend.’
Brentford Boat Club is a new, community and volunteer-run charity club which welcomes new members from all levels, one of the few organisations and boat clubs providing access for local children and dedicated to helping them reach their full potential while also running a successful performance program.
