Thirty residents escape blaze on fifth storey of block of flats

A fire has broken out in a flat in Acton this Tuesday morning (16 July).
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to blaze on Bromyard Avenue in Acton.
Part of a five-roomed flat on the fifth floor of a six storey block is alight.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers have taken 28 calls to the fire.
Thirty people have fled the building. There have been no reports of any injuries at this stage.
An NPAS helicopter was seen circling above the scene for over an hour.
The Brigade was called at 11.48am. Fire crews from Acton, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Ealing and surrounding fire stations attended.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
